The Client Support Assistant role will be responsible for providing out of hours support for our customer base, with requirements to make decisions on their behalf in some circumstances. Full training will be provided.

Please note this is an evening/night shift role, so your own transport or close residence to the office in Manchester City Centre will be essential.


Job Description

In the role of Client Support Assistant, you will have the following duties and responsibilities:

  • Answer out of hours calls on behalf of our customers
  • Triage caller requests using standardised business guidelines and advise accordingly
  • Arrange contractor support to customer’s sites where necessary
  • Take messages where appropriate and email to the relevant person
  • Monitor a small number of CCTV points and regularly log checks and any incidents as appropriate

This list is not exhaustive and additional tasks may be required as per instruction from your Line Manager

Knowledge & Desirable Qualifications
  • (Essential) Fluent in English
  • (Essential) Good telephone manner
  • (Essential) Comfortable using a computer
  • (Desirable) Experience in the facilities management sector
  • (Desirable) Knowledge of Zen Desk suite
  • (Desirable) SIA accreditation would be an advantage

The specific skills required for the role of Client Support Assistant are:

  • Ability to use a computer to manage customer queries and log incidents
  • Comfortable speaking with customers on the telephone
  • Trustworthy and capable of working autonomously
  • A calm telephone manner when dealing with customers who in rare cases/emergencies may be distressed
  • Ability to make carefully thought-out decisions, supported by standard business guidelines
  • Attention to detail
  • A genuine dedication to exceptional customer service
